I’m already a day out of sync. The theme continues but will slowly change. I saw this from Jeremy Bentham, “The rarest of all human qualities is consistency”, rather on topic if you ask me, but I must add…it’s not for the lack of trying!! Anyway, I had a good time yesterday, I realised there are things that I enjoy which I don’t let myself do enough. Everything you do should be an extension of you. The way you live, visually, is an extension of you. Your values and beliefs should be seen through that. I want my life to be true reflection of me, hopefully this reflection will help me. I miss the power that came with daily reflection when I first did it. Perhaps that’s why I’ve started to go down that route again, but what does it require. Consistency. I journaled for a couple months, twice day, in the style of a true socratic. Twice a day is quite significant and probably accelerates the benefits but not too soon and long after that I realised there are no rules to journaling. same applies to the way you live your life, only guidelines really. Those values and beliefs that let you go and pull you back, ethics so to speak. It’s a constant balancing act. I recommend you identify what you do too much in your life and iron it out a bit. You can still do it, just do it a bit less yahknow? Somethings you must do more to compensate for the lack of doing, which requires extra effort but. I also now want to say, that it is easier to do too much of the things that have more immediate benefit from, so to overcome the off-balance you must work twice as hard, the effort put in to pull yourself back corresponds exponentially (unfortunately). It’s a balancing act, as we said before, but zoom into that balancing act, you are constantly teetering. You are never ever, complete (unfortunately). This is what I have slowly but surely learnt to accept – since daily blog 1. And, it relates to the ego. It’s hard to put into words, especially as I am not particularly, or entirely articulate (perhaps another reason for /benefit of writing). I need to educate myself on the ego, super-ego and ID once more. Curse Amit Gosh, why did he have to be such a lecturer when I required a teacher.
Essentially, this was going to be included in the bottom of the first daily blog, but I for whatever reason changed it. I am slowly but surely managing my ego better.
